“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” -Muhammad Ali

Celebrities are people who receive public attention for their success, lifestyle, action or wealth. I discussed mentoring with Marianne Williamson who noted she had many mentors and has mentored others. Marianne shared:

Mentoring isn’t just something nice you do, or even necessarily a conscious choice. It’s a pattern you magnetize to yourself as part of the natural order. As you yourself grow more mature, those behind you in time—ones who would be most served by your teaching—automatically appear in your life. And by teaching, I mean not only what you know but also what you demonstrate. I can’t imagine where I’d be today had there not been those who arrived on my path to show me what I needed to see at just the moment when I needed to see it. Now it’s my turn, to try to put together some piece of life’s puzzle for those who look to me as one who’s done it herself. How we behave, how we do or do not seek to bring harmony to the world around us, are holographic teachings we’re beaming to those around us all the time. A younger friend, who is like a little sister to me, has said to me more than once, “You think I’m ignoring you, but I am listening to every word.” (Williamson, 2010)

Major League Baseball’s Scott Kazmir Shines

good use this spring trainingScott Kazmir is a former professional baseball pitcher. He was drafted in the first round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Mets, who later sent him to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in a highly publicized and criticized trade.

Scott made his major league debut with the Devil Rays on August 23, 2004. In 2008, Scott had nagging injuries which lead to inconsistency in his pitching motion, pitch velocity and overall effectiveness. He earned a spot in the Indians’ starting rotation, and had a great season. In December 2013, he signed a two-year contract with the Oakland Athletics. During the 2014 season, he saw a career-high 15 games. In 2015, he was traded to the Houston Astros then he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Alexi also played for The Los Angeles Angels.
